We are 5 partners from 4 countries: Romania, Italy, Lithuania and Spain.

All of this partners work in its country in penitentiary environment with formal and non-formal education.

 

OBJECTIVES OF OUR PARTNERSHIP

 

The general objective of “Liberty of Soul” is to elaborate resources, instruments and an adapted curriculum which may help the teachers/educators when dealing with the detainees. In order to apply pedagogical approaches suitable to working with imprisoned persons.

 

Our specific objectives:

 

- to reduce the differences in the instructive-educational process of the prisoners in Europe exchanging good practices

 

- to train the educators who work in the penitentiary system to bring their contribution to the developing of the prisoners’ social integration abilities

 

- to use and achieve strategies and methods to improve the prisoners’ competences related to assertive communication, relationships, self-control and team work

 

- to develop the assertive psycho-social communication competences leading to the rehabilitation and reintegration of the present imprisoned persons into the social European life,

 

- to develop and value the trainers ’and the trainees’ imagination and vocational creativity, fact leading to the improvement of self–image and self–relationship

 

- to improve the educators vocabulary from a semantic and lexical point of view, this fact helping them to easily handle the European slang necessary for a better communication with the detainees

 

- to motivate the educators to work with the imprisoned students in order to develop their psycho-social abilities, to improve the relationship with their inner self and the educators self image

 

- to reduce the racial tendencies and to promotion of inter-racial, inter-social and international tolerance

 

- to develop the educators’ skills in order to exploit the positive side of the students, improving their self-image and self esteem

 

- to improve the communication process between the imprisoned persons and the ones which are not incarcerated in order to emphasize the students’ positive side and to improve their self esteem and confidence in the others.
