LUKISKES PRISON

 

Lukiskes Remand Prison is one of the oldest and biggest prisons in Lithuania (1904).

Nowadays, it constists of several subdevisions : prison, investigatory isolation, convict, householding.

The prison has two main functions: they are a correctional institution and the prison.

The average number of inmates these days is from 1000 to 1100.
